On NPR this morning, as I was drifting into wakefulness, I heard how Senator Arlen Specter faced a crowd in uproar over health care reform at a Lebanon town meeting. President Obama fared only a little better in Maine. There are lots of questions and issues needing to be addressed, but also lots of unfounded rumors flying around as well. At the moment, I am not trying to get political on this blog. However, the tension in the crowd, especially the one in Pennsylvania, seems to be the same kind of atmosphere Jesus met in the crowd of John 7. Only the uproar was swirling not around health care, but around him.
