“But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.”
Psalm 3:3
Reflection: Early spring is the season for Jack-in-the-pulpits. They are so well camouflaged by ground leaf cover and their own leaves, that I rarely spotted one unless I was sitting down and being still. Then all of a sudden I would recognize it right before my eyes. Isn’t “Jack” shielded beautifully by the glory the Creator has given it? How grateful I am that God surrounds and shields us this day, even if our eyes can’t quite see it.
